Despite their origins in the Japanese city of Kobe, Osaka Bay, and a growing home fan base, four-piece shoegaze/dream-pop band, The fin. have a distinctly British European sound. The dreamy quality of their synth and guitar driven melodies, along with Yuto Uchino's soprano English language vocals, could be drawing inspiration from Cocteau Twins, Lush, Slowdive, Dubstar, The Lightning Seeds or Metronomy to name but a few. A new perspective on some familiar musical territory.
Since forming in 2012, The fin. have performed at major Japanese festivals including Fuji Rock, Rising Sun and Viva La Rock, and last year completed their first tour in the US which included SXSW.
