MAPFest 2017 is an annual, month-long festival curated to cover various arts disciplines that includes the visual and performing arts, bazaars, workshops and new media. The festival is targeted at both serious and casual art aficionados, youths and families. MAPFest 2017 also hopes to raise awareness about social issues using a positive and empowering arts-based approach.
Happening from March to April, this year’s theme for MAPFest 2017 is “ACTIVISM”
Activism consists of efforts to promote, impede, or direct social, political, economic, and/or environmental reform or stasis with the desire to make improvements in society
MAPFest 2017 will consist of three main programmes: EcoMonth (includes the annual Earth Hour Celebration) refer : Publika Earth Hour & EcoMonth; Art Exhibition in White Box, The Circle and an extensive programme of arts events in the Black Box (which also extends to The Square, The Circle and The Boulevard)
